The Sharkey Building was recently added to the State Historic Register. Its builder was Wallace Snelgrove of Richmond, Pryce Roberts brick subcontractor and also advertised in Polk's Richmond and Martinez City Directory as agent for California Art Tile Company. Recently someone from Tile Heritage Foundation bought one piece of the exact garnish tile for $225.00.
